Craft Jurors

Maxine Breland first became interested in crafts while in Israel, where she started a boutique with a professional crafter. She returned to America knowing she wanted to go into art and developed a business. She is an artist herself, and therefore knows what it means to creatre a product for consumers, and to create it well. She currently teaches art at Orange High School in Orange, New Jersey, and is also a skilled weaver.

Antonia Germanos studied art in Mason Gross and has her Masters in Art Education. She is a fine artist and knit crafter, as well as an art teacher at Hammarskjold in East Brunswick. She is also on the Arts Council at Princeton University.

Dennis Lick, who received his MFA at Rutgers, is a former K-6 art teacher, and was a founding member of the Amos Eno Gallery in Soho in 1976. At the same time, he also began teaching in the Visual Arts Department at Middlesex County College. His production includes painting, collage, and painting furniture.

Freda Rhodes currently teaches art at Paul Robeson in New Brunswick. She is the head art teacher in the district with 37 years of experience under her belt. She is constantly taking new craft courses and has had an art exhibit at Rutgers in the past.

Daniel Savard is an expert in the art of stained glass. His work is displayed at Whitlock Tavern in Dayton, New Jersey.
